Our Core Commitment 

My focus/priority is not from a casual glance at a need that is obvious.

It is born out of critical thinking/observation and four decades of professional experience, and seven decades of personal experience.

Political, societal, professional conduct, structure and expectation lay a critiqued groundwork to a paradoxal, juxtaposing paradigm of questionable truths regarding marriage, family, and in fact all relationships to include the livelihood of business. Interwoven, in these aforementioned 3 hefty, influential bodies who decide/influence/impose and otherwise set the bar for common life.

My ultimate focus is to investigate, analyze, and question.

My ultimate purpose is to recalibrate, restore, rebuild, and revive relationships – marriages, families, and workplace/businesses. It can be thought of as counterintuitive perhaps.

I have the privilege of unique expertise.  To work as it were on both ends of the spectrum.

My professional experience and credentials in Canada and Scotland have served as a catalyst to a very dynamic and passionate career.

My personal life has also served as a catalyst for understanding life. Not the ‘ivory tower, silver spoon’ gal. On my own at 16, had my first child at 18. Divorced twice.  Dad gone, super intelligent man, achieved many things, yet alcohol and violence permeated his life. Mom, a model and artist, suffered at the hands of abuse, so broken, spent her life in mental health facilities and died young. Through experiencing much loss and tragedy, humility, grace, forgiveness permeates my being and I have a deeper respect for the complexity of life. I have made many mistakes, hurt others, and myself to which I am fully accountable. I am privileged to serve others and as a result have a deeper respect for the travails and hardships of the people I serve.

This has anchored my purpose, faith and determination regarding views on marriage, family and business. Born believing.

In serving others I have witnessed suffering, tragedy, and excruciating pain experienced by my clients; Depression, addiction, betrayal, divorce, violence, war, murder, rape – to name but a few.  

Systems fail.

To this end REAL Consulting is making significant changes.
