Tender Love

 Tender Love

She wore that powderblue dress shirt of his like a dress. Her tiny 4 foot
nothing frame silhouetted
her pale naked body. Her flashing green eyes and sashaying movements caught his eye.

A slow smile on his lips formed hidden behind the
newspaper he was reading in his
favorite overstuffed chair. She quietly embraced him and sat on his knee.

I was enamored by the love they had for one
another, even then in their  seventies.
Their tenderness and kindness to each other weathered the storm and the sunshine
of their lives to which I had the privilege to be part of.

Thank you, Grandma and Grandad, for your enduring love. ™
